Amongst the news presented at EICMA by Italian piston specialist Vertex, a brand new range of Street pistons are literally 'race-bred', having been developed in co-operation with Team Gresini in MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 World Championships.
The Street pistons range includes 15 dedicated models in "Replica" or "High Compression" versions, for Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, BMW and Ducati with 600 and 1000 cc motors (for track use only). These pistons feature a minimum weight limit for their category, an increased compression ratio and Vertex say that they deliver "a great performance increase without any loss of reliability".
Noted for the technical support they give to European and National championship Superbike and Supersport teams, Vertex say that "whether looking for weight savings on stock replacements or for increased compression, our new Street pistons range are sure to be top sellers in 2015".
