Scott Sports

Scott Sports opens new HQ

Scott Sports' new HQ is operational, bringing together the company's brand portfolio as well as centralising structures within one building.
Based at Givisiez, Switzerland, April saw Scott Sports open its new corporate headquarters after a construction phase of three years. The new global headquarters will be the home for all of Scott's divisions including Bike, Winter, Moto and Running. It will also serve as the organisational centre for other Scott brands such as Syncros, Bergamont, Bold Cycles, Avanti, Malvern Star, Dolomite, Powderhorn, Bach, Lizard and Outdoor Research.

Scott Sports CEO Beat Zaugg says: "The working culture and today's workplace needs are important to us, we live a strong team culture, projects are driven by several departments simultaneously. Having all our employees in the same building enables fast, seamless communication and collaboration, a real alternative to the home office."

Scott is a design-led business from the ground up, and that now includes its state-of-the-art headquarters where "Functionality meets Design" - an outer structure of 400 aluminium windows controlled by 880 separate motors that are in non-stop motion to create a natural light ambience inside.

"Technology, integration, a strong focus on sustainable use of resources, functionally wrapped in an outstanding design fosters Scott's mission statement to its core. As a result of the collaboration with leading companies like Kvadrat DK and Price Industries, the HQ building is the very first in Europe working with a system to control heating, ventilation and acoustics, all at the same time.

"Sustainable energy supply and resource-friendly heating through geothermal power, solar technology as well as district heat emphasise the sustainable character of the whole concept. Framed by a clear architecture and a combination of timeless materials like wood, concrete, glass and metal, the new HQ provides the perfect stage for Scott's product portfolio and further growth over the next decade".
The new building provides 25,865 m² overall area, a 4,072 m² building footprint and 4,000 m² of showrooms. Built in 760 days, there are 5,783 m² of glass covered surface, 300 km/186 miles of electrical lines and a micro-perforated, sun-controlled aluminium façade.
