Aliant

Aliant Compact LiFe po4 battery and charger

ITALIAN specialist Aliant has been developing lithium iron phosphate batteries since 2009 and has now introduced its YLP07, designed specifically for use on enduro and off-road motorcycles.

Described as half the volume and weight of other lithium batteries, it is still capable of starting a four-stroke, 450cc single cylinder engine.

To complement the battery, Aliant has a new 12V 10Amp multi-platform charger (the CB1210) that has a robust aluminium case for improved heat sink performance, increasing electric conversion efficiency.

It also features new firmware that is said to allow it to adapt its charging profile automatically to 12V lead acid batteries and 12V lifepo4 batteries.
Aliant claims it can charge an 80Ah battery from flat in less than 10 hours, while displaying actual state of charge percentage on a four-digit display.
