Provisional MotoGP schedule

Perhaps more in hope than expectation, MotoGP rights holder Dorna (Madrid, Spain) has released a provisional schedule for 2021 and announced that the grids for all classes are complete.

Whilst the emerging news about COVID-19 vaccine options is welcomed by everybody (hopefully!), it remains to be seen what shape individual national markets are in as the dates come round next year.
Dorna has stated that "all dates, events and the attendance of spectators are subject to the evolution of the pandemic and the approval of the corresponding governments and authorities".
There are 20 Rounds provisionally planned between March and November next year, with Portimao, Indonesia and Russia on the reserve list. The series will start with the evening race at the Losail International Circuit, Qatar, March 28, before heading to Argentina and Austin, Texas. Then the European season starts in Spain at Jerez on May 2nd.
There are 19 venues currently on the provisional calendar, with a 20th to be decided (in Europe in July or August). The European season wraps up with San Marino at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli (September 12), then heads to Japan (October 3rd), Thailand, Australia and Malaysia, before finishing in Europe after EICMA on November 14 at Valencia.
