Triumph launches 'All Riders' SOS Accident Alert System
Triumph Motorcycles has launched a subscription-based iOS and Android Smartphone Emergency Accident Detection and Emergency Alerting System - Triumph SOS - that is available to all riders, regardless of what bike they own.
Triumph owners get a 3-month free trial; the subscription is a rolling monthly charge, with no cancellation fees or long-term contract commitment. It works by monitoring key smartphone sensors to detect and validate an accident.
Initially launched for the UK, Ireland, North America, Australia and New Zealand (with other markets to follow), the system automatically connects the rider to the nearest emergency services in their time of need.
This Google-Cloud hosted emergency alerting platform will automatically deliver the rider’s time-critical and potentially life-saving details directly to the emergency services within seconds of the accident being detected, following a unique validation process.
Precise GPS location, direction of travel, bike details and medical information allow emergency responders to reach the rider quickly and provide assistance accordingly. Advanced features include sophisticated Auto-pause technology to prevent accidental triggering, so you can fully focus on your ride. Triumph SOS does not record or send any speed or telematics data to the emergency services.
