Amerschläger P4 - updated motorcycle dyno

German dynamometer manufacturer Amerschläger has developed a new version of its SC100 dynamometer, specifically for motorcycles and scooters up to 100 hp.
The P4 "sets a new standard in the industry and offers a variety of advanced features to make motorcycle performance measurement more efficient and flexible".

A leading provider of dynamometer solutions in Germany, Amerschläger's modular design makes the P4 a versatile test platform with three main components - the front section, the roller carrier section and the ramp section. This is said to make for easier and more cost-effective palletised transportation on a pallet and allows individual parts to be replaced more economically to make the P4 a viable long-term test bench option for busy workshops.
Using the keyhole principal assembly is quick and straightforward, with the individual modules simply connected and screwed together without prior alignment - meaning that the P4 is ready for use in just a few minutes.

The 180-degree rotatable roller carrier section is designed for precise measurements. This innovative feature eliminates problems when measuring the performance of Vespas, for example, which could previously come into contact with the cooling fan and kick starter on the roller cover. This enables precise and reliable measurement regardless of motorcycle type.
The adjustable front wheel mount means optimum adaptation. Equipped with an adjustable rocker, it can be individually adjusted to the wheel size to fix the motorcycle even more quickly and easily without further assistance. This adjustment option is one of the primary features that makes the test stand versatile and suitable for the widest range of different motorcycle models.
The integrated brake on the power roller allows the roller to be slowed down with its own hydraulic brake - meaning that the motorcycle's brake is not stressed.
Equipped with an earth connection, including earth clamp, the P4 delivers even better detection of the engine speed. As an option, a monitor support arm is available, and a control panel for mounting a keypad can be mounted directly on the test stand for operation directly from the motorcycle.
The ramp is equipped with an automatic shock absorber and an increased range of mounting points.
