MIW oil and air filters
Developed in Shizuoka, Japan, for use in both OEM and aftermarket applications, MIW filters are made by Meiwa Company Ltd., using proprietary "Multi Stage Filtration" technology to ensure protection of the engine from the combustion and friction debris that is otherwise transported and circulated by the oil.
Incorporating an oil pressure stabilisation system, durable MIW filters provide consistent and reliable filtration to clean the oil of impurities and prolong critical engine component life.
MIW air filters apply the same level of reliability and filtration to the airborne particulates that pollute the oil and affect combustion, boosting performance and engine durability.
MIW oil and air filters are manufactured to exceed the highest OEM and international approvals standards. MIW air filters are manufactured using resin-impregnated microporous paper, reinforced by a large percentage of cotton fibres "to offer filtering of unparalleled durability and quality".
The "Multi Stage Filtration" technology sees cotton fibres composed of thicker filaments towards the outer walls of the filter, to capture the largest particles first nearer the outside of the filter barrier, with smaller, thinner filaments nearer the inside of the construction for the smallest, microscopic particulates.
Manufactured with high-tech filter media, MIW Premium oil filters are said to "provide many benefits over less expensive counterparts, including a 20% thicker base for higher thread strength, easier thread engagement, positive inner-element support and consistent gasket compression.
"Rigid element supports resist vibration and high and low temperatures. They will not deform under constant spring-load pressure. Heavy duty centre tubes and cans, which can withstand exposure to a wide range in flow and pressure, and other technological improvements give MIW Premium filters the edge over OE and other aftermarket filter brands".
