Supersprox racing success 2024
After the dust settled on the 2024 race season, Supersprox ended the year with seven additional World Championships. This season has provided notable moments, including victory in the FIM World Cross Country Rally series - by Ross Branch on a Hero motorcycle, the first time that a manufacturer from India has won such a prestigious title.
Supersprox CEO, DJ Maughfling said: "It has been a good year in terms of the overall results from our partners. We narrowly missed out on the MXGP World title, with HRC's Tim Gajser, and we were not lucky in the World FIM Endurance series, narrowly missing out with YART Yamaha. That is racing and we have been participating for more than 50 years, it's the long-term average results that really matter."
After the start of the war in Ukraine, Supersprox was not sure how the company would continue to support the racing needs of its partners. "We have approached this in the same way we approach all our business activity - with a plan, that allows us some room to adapt.
"We have managed to succeed, despite the difficult conditions. We believe that many of our partners will also adapt to new market realities. It is clear that the next few years are going to look different in racing. Manufacturer budgets are being squeezed with uncertainty in sales. Supersprox will go on with racing support and we look forward to the feedback from our partner teams. It is that feedback that helps our company to be among the best in the market.
"We are grateful to our racing partners and have a lot of respect for their efforts. They have a much more precarious business than ours. Racing teams rely on their riders to provide them with success, and those riders all have expiry dates on their racing careers. We generally have the good fortune to keep our management and engineering performance teams together for many years. Even though we have suffered the loss of key staff during the war I would rather be in our position, than that of most race teams."
