Kawasaki has added to the Plus X Award given to the Z1000 for "innovation, quality and design" by scooping the "Best Product of the Year 2014" in the "Best Naked Bike of the Year" category.

The Kawasaki brand has also captured what the company describes the highest honour of the Plus X Awards, the "Most Innovative Brand Award" in the motorcycle category.

Now in its 11th year, the Plus X Award programme features an international and independent panel of judges from 25 industries, 23 "competent partners" and a marketing investment of more than 25 million euro. It is claimed that this is the world’s largest innovation competition for technology, sports and lifestyle.
