Braktec

Clutchtec hydraulic clutch system

Based near Barcelona, Spanish brake and cable specialist JJuan is celebration the 50th anniversary of its 1965 establishment this year and the 35th anniversary of the start of its export activity.

Fast forward to the 21st century, and two years ago (2013) the specialist Braktec off-road brake and clutch brand it established in 2011 celebrated its first Trials World Championship, and following EICMA this year approaches 2016 with a number of important new product initiatives.
JJuan established Braktec as a result of its acquisition of AJP Industrial's brake systems division.

Having secured and improved production of the AJP line to meet the demand for the products that had been so closely associated with trials and off-road brands such as Ossa, Montessa, Ducati (Mototrans), Sanglas (Yamaha) and others, Braktec was a brand re-launch to provide a platform for growth driven by new manufacturing technology and new product designs.
A regular fixture at Trials, Enduro and Motocross World Championships (and at the Dakar Rally), 2016 sees a new Braktec monoblock caliper and a new fatigue-reducing Clutchtec brand durable, precision hydraulic clutch system.
Featuring low expansion reinforced hoses and easy control of the settings, Braktec say that the latest generation clutch master cylinder is lighter, that the position of the high strength, adjustable lever is proof against temperature variations, and that the height is adjustable from the lever.
The company says their testing has shown "100 percent reliability" for a system that is said to be maintenance-free. It is delivered fully assembled ready for installation and a wide range of colours are available for the lever, master cylinder and reservoir cap.
