Sweden's annual motorcycle expo returns to the west coast in 2016, at the Gothenburg Swedish Exhibition Centre (the event alternates each year between Stockholm and Gothenburg) for four days from January 28th - 31st 2016.
The 2015 event saw a broadening of the exhibition footprint, with the inclusion of the wider Powersports industry for the first time - ATV/Quads, Snowmobiles, Personal Watercraft (PWCs) in addition to motorcycles, trikes, scooters and mopeds.
That show saw some 55,000 visitors attend and with the motorcycle market in Sweden growing at the rate of +13.80 percent for the nine months to September 2015 (8,574 units; 8,378 units for the full-year in 2014 according to ACEM) attendance and exhibitor numbers are expected to continue to increase.
In moped terms the Swedish market was +20.11 percent to the end of September (8,756 units) and in total PTW terms the Swedish market was +16.91 percent for the year-to-date (17,330 units). A further 1,750 or so off-road motorcycles had also been sold in Sweden in the first nine months of 2015 and the country has one of the largest ATV markets in Europe - with sales running at +9.9 percent for the year-to-date with 5,533 units sold in the first nine months of 2015, plus a further 2,293 'Quadricycles' (+12.2 percent for the year-to-date).
