BS Battery and Sherco forge new partnership
French battery manufacturer BS Battery has announced a new partnership with French motorcycle manufacturer Sherco.
BS Battery is now to be the official supplier for all Sherco motorcycles, which further reinforces the strong position that BS Battery already has as an OEM battery-of-choice.
In additional news, BS and Sherco have agreed on a three-year sponsorship contract that will see BS supporting Sherco in all its racing activities.
Benjamin Sebban, General Manager of BS Battery, said: "We are very happy about this French/French partnership - we were looking to find a foothold in the off-road sector for some time and collaboration with Sherco is a great opportunity for us. BS is now present in MotoGP, WorldSSP and Off-Road race categories.
"To become an OEM supplier with our lithium technology is really a great achievement for us - especially with one of the most important Enduro manufacturers. This collaboration will enable us to develop and strengthen our products as Sherco will be using them in competition."
Located in France (Nîmes) and once known purely for its leading trials bike designs, Sherco Motorcycles has also been designing and manufacturing a wide range of different types of off-road capable machines - such as Enduro, Supermotard, leisure and 50 cc models - since 1998.
Sherco is currently the "fastest growing off-road motorcycle company" in the market, exporting to over 75 countries.
Approved by the Sherco engineering teams, BS products have been validated for performance, technology and safety. As original parts, its lithium BSLi-02 battery will now be standard equipment on several Sherco models, including its popular Enduro machines.
BS Battery will also be an official partner of the Sherco Factory Team until 2024 - attending to many international championships such as EnduroGP, Extreme Enduro, Rally-raid and X-trial and TrialGP.
