Caberg

Caberg Carbon Series

Bergamo based helmet manufacturer Caberg (Caschi-Bergamo) has been adding carbon versions of its bestselling helmets for several years.

The company recently ran a promotion where it brought all the current carbon iterations together as one flagship line - the Caberg Carbon Series - and it makes for an interesting survey of the design development of its helmets and the features these top-of-the-line brand versions incorporate.

Levo Carbon

Founded in 1974, Caberg has always been an innovator - especially as an early adopter of the flip-up/modular helmet concept - with dual P&J approvals and a first carbon helmet introduced in 2008, and since then, its feature-rich carbon designs have come a long way.

"Reinforced safety and reduced weight are the hallmarks of our Carbon Series - plus they all look great and are made in Italy too".

Drift Evo Carbon Pro

The Levo Carbon flip-up has a "panoramic, ultra-wide visor that allows the motorcyclist to have one of the widest fields of vision in its category, thanks to a front opening of the equal view at 82°".

The carbon shell weighs in at around 100 g less than the composite fibre shell Levo, with all the strength characteristics, all the impact resistance, that carbon is noted for. It has twin front vents and twin rear extractors with built-in channels positioned in the inner shell.

There is an anti-scratch and anti-fog Pinlock Max Vision lens and an easily manoeuvrable left-lever, glove-friendly DVT (Double Visor Tech) sun visor, and it can be equipped with the Caberg Just Speak Evo or other communication systems.

Flyon Carbon

Many of these features are seen as common features throughout the Caberg Carbon Series.

The Drift Evo Carbon Pro (and 2022 evolution - the Drift Evo Sonic) is its top-of-the-range full-face and is the result of "constant research and development carried out by Caberg in collaboration with some young talents and top riders of the WSBK Championship, who can count on the high technology and performance of the Drift Evo full-face helmet, designed to meet the needs of both a top rider and a passionate motorcyclist.

"Offering an enhanced tailormade fit, the Sonic features a new generation internal pillow and the possibility, on request, to replace the interior with those of a larger or smaller size, thus allowing dealers to offer their customers a truly bespoke, custom-fit service.

"A transparent spoiler positioned at the rear of the helmet is designed to improve aerodynamics at high speeds, reduce turbulence and noise and can give the helmet a high level of fluidity and stability".

Ghost Carbon

The Flyon Carbon is the jet helmet in the Carbon Series and designed for urban travel use. Among the main features of the Flyon are a large external visor equipped with a locking system placed on the left side of the helmet to prevent accidental opening; it also comes with the Pinlock anti-fog lens and an easy to use integrated sun visor.

The Ghost Carbon made its market debut in 2017 and immediately captured the attention of professionals. It is equipped with a goggle-shaped visor and a removable rubber mask that adheres to the face thanks to a sponge positioned on the lower profile - ideal for cold weather riding.

Freeride Carbon

The Freeride Carbon is a classic vintage style jet, popular with custom and Café Racer riders. This carbon version is said to be among the smallest shell sizes on the market, and "all-Italian finishes" include the five rivets down the edge of the shell, the screen-printed eyeglass pass, the steel air intakes inserted in the neck roll and leather inserts; it can take the long and transparent visor.
