Spanish new motorcycle registrations

Spain - new motorcycle registrations +21.19% YTD


At the time of publication, the most recent published data from ANESDOR (the motorcycle industry association in Spain) covered the first seven months of 2026 and again show the market is Spain doing well with motorcycle registrations running at +21.19% YTD (171,179 units).

After a very strong March (+39.40%/24,642 units), April (+23.21%/24,059), +15.87% (26,865) in May and +28.57% (32,024 units) in June - representing the strongest sequence of four months in Spain (in percentage growth and units sold terms) since before 2009.

While July was 'just' +8.60% that was still 30,803 units (July was the best month in Spain in 2025).

In total PTW terms the Spanish market was +20.85% (179,229 units) for the first seven months of 2026. Within the overall data, motorcycles were worth 78,841 units (41.9% of the PTW market), scooters were 49.1% of the market (92,338 units) and mopeds were 4.3% of sales (8,050 units).

Honda continues to be the market leading brand with a 17.2% share (32,364 units YTD) followed by Yamaha (13.2%), Zontes (10.1%), Voge (7.7%) and Kymco (5.1%). 

The top selling model in Spain is the Yamaha NMAX 125 (8,064 units YTD/4.3% share), followed by the Honda PCX 125, Zontes 368 G, Voge DS 800 Rally and the Sym Symphony 125 in fifth spot.

For the record: Full year 2025 registrations in Spain were +7.93% over 2024 at 239,727 units. In total PTW terms the Spanish market was +7.29% (252,732 units).
