NEXX

NEXX - Y.10 urban open-face

New from Portuguese manufacturer NEXX, the Y.10 is designed with urban appeal and functional features for city commuters "while providing superior comfort, visibility and ease of use".

Meeting and exceeding the stringent new ECE 22-06 homologation standards, NEXX says that its high impact resistance shell technology confirms it as one of the safest open-face motorcycle helmets on the market. All Y.10 model helmet variants are manufactured with compact and high-impact resistant 'Polyfusion' shell technology in two shell sizes.

"The long, wide visor is made in unbreakable PC Lexan, offering an increased feeling of openness and spaciousness inside the helmet - a sense of freedom that is ideal for urban traffic conditions. The newly designed, integrated, light tinted sun visor guarantees superb peripheral vision and excellent protection against intensive sunlight and glare. It can be manually extended or retracted using a subtle grip on the lens edge".

The active ventilation system allows optimal climate control inside the helmet for all conditions, and some Y.10 versions include an integrated top vent that can be adjusted by a two-level mechanism to control the amount of fresh airflow to suit the needs of urban mobility.

The internal padding in black breathable material with the antibacterial and antisweat treatment is fully detachable to allow easy removal and cleaning. The sleek shape is also suitable for glasses wearers. Y.10 is by default equipped to accommodate universal Bluetooth communication systems with up to 45 mm audio sets and is compatible with most under-seat storage spaces on leading scooters.

Additional features include a micrometric buckle. Homologation is ECE/22-06, DOT FMVSS 218 and NBR-7471. The Y.10 weighs 1,225 g +/- 50 g (versions with external shield) and 1,025 g +/- 50 g for Y.10 CORE and ARTVILLE models without the external shield.
