Top Block S.A.S. crash pads

With the increased horsepower of the 2025 V4-powered Aprilia Tuono 1100 (the transition to the new Euro5+ standard saw it gain five horsepower), French accessory brand specialist Top Block  took the opportunity to unveil updated protections options with a pair of technically advanced S.A.S. crash pads (Shock Absorber System).

These crash pads were specifically developed for high-performance machines capable of reaching high speeds. They consist of a pair of highly durable black pads, a pair of plates, and an intermediate shock-absorbing material as a spacer whose primary characteristic is to absorb part of the shock wave upon impact.

The pads that come into contact with the ground during a fall are machined from a block of Ertacetal, a polyacetal copolymer composite material popular for its high mechanical strength, rigidity, hardness and low friction and sliding resistance. It also has the advantage of providing high resistance to shocks and wear while promoting sliding.

The design is refined with an aerodynamic profile. The red absorbent material is made from high-density polyurethane to reduce stresses towards the frame in the event of an impact. The protection is mounted directly on the frame using a plate with two fixing points for effective protection. The black plate + pad assembly integrates perfectly without distorting the lines of the bike’s original design, while the red touch of the elastomer insert highlights the sportiness of the new Aprilia Tuono V4 1100.

The integrated mounting plates are CNC-machined aluminum, epoxy-coated in black. Backed by a five-year warranty, these S.A.S. crash pads are a quick assembly and install with the provided two mounting points for the plates, mounting hardware and screws provided.
