And we are sure that we will shape the interests of our member companies in association work and politics with him in an excellent way. At the same time, we would like to thank Reiner Brendicke for his outstanding work over the past 25 years."
The designated new Managing Director Uwe Seitz stated after the election: "I have been in the industry as a motorcycle journalist for over 20 years, most recently as editor-in-chief of MOTORRAD, Europe's largest motorcycle magazine.
"I would like to bring my passion for motorcycles and the many opportunities that I see for motorized two-wheelers in general in the mobility of the future to my work as Managing Director of IVM with all my might. For The Record: We here at INTERNATIONAL DEALER NEWS would like to state our appreciation for the work that Reiner Brendicke has done on behalf of the motorcycle industry - work that has also resonated internationally. Rainer's term of office has seen many challenges affect the motorcycle industry - from the 2008 Financial Crisis to the 2020 and 2021 Pandemic emergency from a post Financial Crisis collapse in new motorcycle registrations that didn't 'bottom out' until 2015 to sequential geo-political, macro-economic, logistical and supply chain, regulatory and, most recently, tariff challenges, Rainer has met each one with a calm professionalism and determination - never losing sight of the 'bigger picture' and the long-term best interests of the motorcycle industry.
Ciao Reiner.
