D.I.D

Winning with D.I.D

The D.I.D 520ERT3 MX chain is a high-performance, lightweight, low-friction chain that has been "engineered to withstand the tough conditions that off-road tracks and rugged terrain present for transmission chains to survive and the D.I.D engineers have specified the O-Ring design 520ERT3 to survive everything that can be thrown at it".

The non-sealed 520ERT3 is the best-selling MX chain from D.I.D. "and is used by many professional racing teams in official competitions. Due to its optimal strength-to-weight ratio, it has become the chain of choice for riders across multiple MX disciplines, particularly in the 250cc class."

The lightweight construction "does not compromise its strength or longevity, making it ideal for MX events where both speed and durability are essential. This chain offers the necessary reliability for competitive riders. Low friction means a smoother ride and less wear on the rest of the drivetrain - extending the overall lifespan of the chain and improving the efficiency of the power transfer from the engine to the wheels."

The high-performance, lightweight design reduces drag with O-Ring technology increasing wear resistance and longevity. "The exceptional strength-to-weight ratio makes it ideal for high-speed and demanding conditions."

D.I.D. sponsors the Kawasaki MXGP team with the ERT3 chain - "with Romain Febvre setting the seal on the 2025 FIM World MXGP MX Championship campaign (at Darwin, Australia) by clinching his second MXGP world title and the first for the Kawasaki KX450-SR.

In addition to the MXGP Championship, 2025 saw D.I.D scoop the MOTOGP title with the Ducati Lenovo Team and Marc Marquéz using their 520ERV7 chain.

KRT's Romain Febvre won the 2025 FIM World MXGP MX Championship with the D.I.D 520ERT3

At the time of writing the on-going W2RC (World Rally-Raid Championship) is being dominated by teams placed 1 to 6 so far all using the company's "bomb proof" 520ERVT chain.

Meanwhile, back home in DID Europe's Italian back-yard, the CIV (Campionato Italiano Velocità) championship, which features some of the finest national-level racing talent in the world, has seen the lightweight, durable D.I.D 520ERV7 established as a "natural performance chain choice for riders in the Italian championship as well as at  the highest levels of international motorsport."
