Barcelona based brakes specialist Galfer has opened a new North American operational subsidiary in Orlando, Florida.

Galfer USA is the new operating unit for the distribution for its products in the United States and Canada. With over 70 years of experience in developing brake rotors and pads, Galfer is known for innovation. Its patented Wave (W) was first introduced in1998 and since then other proprietary technologies have proven popular braking performance solutions, such as Shark, Cubiq, and Floatech rotors, and Sinter and semi-metal pads.

A continuous commitment to R&D has solidified Galfer as an OEM supplier for leading brands, including KTM, Ducati, Triumph, Beta, Sherco, Stark, MV Agusta, Rieju, Honda-Montesa, Orbea, Pivot, Bianchi, and Megamo, among others.

Certified by ISO 9001, 14001, and 50001 standards, all Galfer brake rotors and pads hold ECE R-90 Homologation and 2024 saw the awarding of the prestigious FIM Quality Product seal. Galfer has won over 120 world championships since 1952 in disciplines such as MotoGP, WSBK, Motocross, Supercross, Enduro, Trial, Downhill, and Cross Country.

Francisco Catena, CEO of Industrias Galfer said that "this subsidiary will reflect our values of innovation, quality, service, and excellence. From here, we will continue to drive solutions that make a difference in the industry with a local strategy and execution in a market that will be one of the pillars of the future Galfer."

The new 500 m² (1,650 square feet) Orlando facility, led by Armando Riva, a North American brake market professional, will guarantee a significant improvement in delivery times and availability for distributors, race teams, dealers and workshops in the US and Canada. Galfer therefore now completes its international structure, adding the Orlando subsidiary to the one already operating in Italy since 2018.
