Premier Trophy DO
Italian helmet manufacturer P.M.R. has updated its popular 'Trophy' full-face. Released in 2020, the 'DO' is "particularly appreciated by riders who are fans of old races, nostalgic for the styling values of the past, but still want up-to-date contemporary safety and comfort.
"Even the visor, though stylistically identical to those used by the champions of the past, is approved and equipped with scratch-resistant treatment. It is fixed to the shell by a mechanism that regulates its opening and by two buttons at the bottom that ensure its closure. The visor is available as an accessory in dark, orange, red, gold and silver versions.
"The interiors also recall the retro taste of the exterior shape but are made in sanitised and breathable, hypoallergenic materials. The lining is finished in soft cloth, washable synthetic leather and the fastening consists of a strap with double ring - as used 'back-in-the-day' and still used in the racing industry."
The inner shell is made of differentiated density EPS for enhanced impact energy absorption, and the outer shell is moulded in a DCA multi-axial structure carbon, Dyneema and Aramid fibre laminate mixed with epoxy resin.
The result is described as a lightweight and elastic material, but one that is highly resistant in the event of an impact to make the 'Trophy' a robust but comfortable helmet.
